Lived up there 20 years Paulon, remember it all very well, great times. My mates are DIY.
Moved back to London 2012 so a bit out of touch now, It's Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem Inn. Allegedly the oldest pub in the England. It's underneath Nottm Castle. Also near is The Castle Pub.
Coco Tang Bar / club is worth a visit, part of it is our old Hair Salon near Lace Market.
Pubs; Picture & Piano, Bunkers Hill, Lloyds all Hockley area.
Via Fossa & Canal House near the station
The Bell Inn a legendary Huge old pub on the square
Go to Hockley and Lace Market areas which adjoin and all the bars & clubs are mostly there, just wander about and you'll see them.

Used to knock about in Nottingham woods back in the day. Palled up with a geezer called Robin, and we had a big lump of a pal called Jon. Mad times they was - Robin would chore stuff off the rich types, and redistribute their wealth to those what didnt have much. We had some right mad ones. We rode through the glen. Got proper pissed up and merry.
Fuckin right capers it was - mad cunts that notts lot.
